Fraud Management

The Fraud Operations Officer is responsible for investigating suspected fraudulent activities, managing fraud cases, and supporting the prevention of financial crime across the Company's payment services. The role involves analyzing suspicious transactions, handling mule account cases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to the continuous improvement of fraud controls and investigation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, review, and analyze suspicious or high-risk transactions through Fraud Monitoring, Central Fraud Register (CFR), and related systems, ensuring timely action in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and validate fraud information received through the Central Fraud Register (CFR), including recording and updating money trail information accurately.
  • Execute account suspension or freezing actions for suspected fraudulent accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Receive and investigate fraud cases related to the Company's payment services, including Micro Pay e-Wallet and other payment products, and record case information in relevant systems.
  • Review, analyze, and manage Mule Account cases using information received from internal teams, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and government agencies.
  • Analyze fraud trends, emerging fraud patterns, and transaction anomalies to enhance fraud detection rules and preventive controls.
  • Gather evidence, prepare investigation reports, and support fraud investigations, regulatory reporting, and legal proceedings where required.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date fraud databases to support fraud prevention and investigation activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in system testing (UAT) and enhancements related to Fraud Monitoring and CFR systems.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the Company's Fraud Risk Management framework, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, payment services, or FinTech. Experience in Fraud Monitoring, Fraud Operations, Transaction Monitoring, AML, KYC, or Risk Operations is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of payment products and digital payment services, such as e-Wallet, PromptPay, QR Payment, or other electronic payment solutions.
  • Understanding of applicable fraud prevention laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements, including technology crime prevention.
  • Knowledge of Mule Accounts, financial scams, and fraud typologies will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify suspicious transaction patterns and make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of SQL, Power Query, or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams under pressure.
  • Able to work on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule and outside normal business hours when required.
